Who Are We?

PATRONS

Professor David Lock CBE MRTPI Dip.TP

David is Chairman and Managing Director of David Lock Associates Ltd, planners and urban designers in Milton Keynes and Melbourne, Australia. He is Chairman of DLA Architects Practice Ltd and a director of Integrated Transport Planning Ltd. He was Chief Planning Adviser (half time) to the Department of the Environment (1994-97) and he is visiting Professor in the Centre of Planning Studies, University of Reading. David is Chair of the Town and Country Planning Association and Chair of the environmental education charity, City Discovery Centre, in Milton Keynes. In 2007 he was awarded the CBE for services to urban design.

Robert de Grey MA (Cantab) Dip Arch RIBA

Robert is an architect with his own practice, the Architecture Studio, based in Milton Keynes. He chairs the Central Milton Keynes Partnership, and is a member of the Central Milton Keynes Board. He is one of the founders and a committee member of the Milton Keynes Forum, the civic society for Milton Keynes.

Tracy Wlliams

Tracy is Property Services Director for the Genesis Housing Group. Her experience in the field of Housing Association provision has furnished invaluable advice for the ideas and proposals for the Elderflowers model.

Carol Barac BA (English) (Wits), M.U.R.P. (University of Cape Town)

Carol has worked in the field of housing policy since she qualified in planning. She was a member of the Greentown Group, planning an ecological cooperative village. She carried out a survey of people's attitudes to renewable energy for the Open University, and was a Director of One World Quilt 2000, educating community groups about sustainability. She is a Director of MK Global Centre, and Trustee of Powerful Information, working to improve the status of impoverished people. She is an interviewer for the National Centre for Social Research. Carol set up Elderflowers Projects Co to develop the Elderflower ideas, in theory and in practice.

Carole Tyrrell BA (Hons) Geog., Dipl. Environmental Studies, ONC Public Admin.

Formerly employed by TCPA, Carole worked in planning aid. She has written and edited a number of books, articles and pamphlets on planning, environmental and local history and developed Green Policy guidelines on procurement. Especially interested in contemporary deprivation, she has carried out surveys and analyses on community development strategy and produced an innovative survey on the special needs of Gypsy children and young people in Ashford, Kent. Carole has also worked as an adviser to local charities working for disadvantaged people and assisting first time authors to publish their work.

Kodzo Selormey BSc (Hons) ACMA

Kodzo is an Economics Graduate with an interest in development issues, planning, project management and housing supply. He has general accounting and management reporting skills including US GAAP knowledge, balance sheet reporting, project costing and cost analysis experience. He has proven experience in managing small teams: his experience includes 10 years with EDS UK Ltd, world leaders in IT solutions and outsourcing provision, as Project Manager and Regional Enterprise System Office Manager, and he is now with Hewlett Packard. He also worked as Group Property Accounts Manager for Abbey National Plc. He is active in a number of local community charities and companies.
